Lancaster County’s Premier Equestrian facility that offers individualized care for each horse and rider to help them realize their unique goals. Jeff, Robin and Madison Walder are a family based equestrian business that comprise a team effort to offer the best service for equestrians of all backgrounds and skill levels.
Dr. Jeff Walder is the founder and trainer who offers specialized training for each student and horse. He has over 25 years of experience working with riders from all skill levels from inexperienced to professionals. Dr. Walder is also experienced in sales preparation, behavior consultation for your horse and has also worked with horses on layup from racing.
Dr. Walder’s wife Robin coordinates all the farm administration, procurements, farm services, marketing and any unique needs of the clients and horses. She assists clients with questions, research, planning, scheduling and custom plans for boarding and lessons. Robin also enjoys fishing when she is not at the farm working on all that she does!
Madison Walder is an experienced trainer and competes in USEF rated shows on the Grand Prix level. She is experienced with all aspects of horsemanship and has a foundation experience in dressage and equitation.
She had been riding since the age of 3 and has excelled consistently. More recently a Reserve Champion at the Garden State Show in New Jersey.
She is currently training several horses that are boarding at the facility in addition to her own 2 year old Dutch Warm blood stallion named Koenraad. She rides 6 days a week at the facility and up to 7 horses a day. She is very skilled in knowing how to read her horses and give them the best techniques to help them succeed. When she is not busy at the barn, she loves to go bull riding, dirt biking and aspires to be part of breeding champion horses for competition.
Madison has also been very successful training her Dutch Warm blood mare Carmen. Carmen is a very talented horse and competes in the USEF shows. They are currently preparing for the 2018 horse shows.
As if Madison’s schedule was not busy enough she has also transformed an off the track thoroughbred son of 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Smarty Jones who is named It’s Smarty Time into a USEF worthy contender. Watch for them in 2018 to hit the shows! Owned by Dawn Newman of Foxtale Thoroughbred Stallion farm in Coopersburg Pennsylvania the Walders and Ms. Newman have teamed up to give It’s Smarty Time a new career. Walder’s Way Equestrian Center has a stunning outdoor arena featuring Grand Prix jumps and a beautiful indoor arena that boasts dressage letters and Grand Prix jumps. English and Western riding lessons are offered but riders may also get familiar with Dressage and Equitation techniques to enhance their riding skill.
Affordable boarding levels with contract and private lessons for children and adults are available too.
